This life that I lead

I spent today doing exactly what I wanted to do. And when you come right down to it, there's nothing better. A day, opening in front of me with no limits and no demands. So I did what I do best. I wrote a "To Do" list. It went a little something like this:

-laundry
-get Ollie's nails cut
-gym
-take out trash
-make assorted phone calls
-pay bills
-blog
-grocery store

And I'll be damned. It's 8:14pm and I've done everything on my list. What's this? Am I? Could I be? Has it happened? I've become a truly responsible, fully-functioning adult.

B-O-R-I-N-G

I mean, not really. I'm just sayin', it happened. That thing I swore would never happen. I grew up. Oh sure, I still love cartoons and laugh when people fart, but in the end I just couldn't fight it. I'm all grown up.

Today at the gym. Running on the treadmill. Ipod clearly on. Running. Ipod. Got it?
Why did the guy next to me insist on talking to me? I had to mute my Ipod and turn to face him. While RUNNING. Considerate? Not so much. And then, he had the nerve to tell me to run faster. Look buddy, keep your eyes on your own speed and quit buggin' me!

At Petsmart. Ollie wanted to greet a large, white Akita.

Me to Akita owner: "Is he friendly?"
Akita owner: "No. He will bite your dog."
Me: "Probably shouldn't have him in public...."

Dude, I have the "HOLY COW I GREW UP" moment at least 11 times a day. Mostly when I'm trying not to forget the kids at the grocery store or the like.

Love you and love who you are :)
