Day One: Prunes & Cheese
We arrived at my Gram's house in North Haven, hungry and a little tired from the drive. For years my Gram has said, "I didn't go crazy buying food for you guys," and then we'd show up to mountains of groceries; varying arrays of lunch meat, cereal, juices, and snacks. Well this time she meant it. This time she had prunes and cheese. My mom and I exchanged glances over the food and agreed to hit up the grocery store as soon as possible.
Not long after we headed off to the first of the hockey games. I have three cousins that play hockey, on about 30 different teams it seems like. So during the game my Aunt is constantly text messaging to get and give scores of the different games. It's a great system and we ended up with one win and one loss.
It's really something to see my little cousins grown up. They carry themselves like men. And I couldn't help but swell up with pride watching them on the ice.
For now? It's back to enjoying the snow I brought back from New England. Check in tomorow for Connecticut. Day Two: Those People
