Giving in to the ADD

The weather is perfect today. The humidity seems to have taken a temporary break. It's clear and sunny and I'm working from home, which I rather enjoy. It's peaceful and quiet. I get more done in three hours here than I would in a whole day there.

I can't keep some of my flowers alive. The hostas, vincas, and marigolds are fine. Oh, and one of the Asiatic lilies, but the others are dying. The purplish things in the hanging basket are particularly sad. Any advice?

If I ever have daughters, I want them to fall in love with a man just like cute bf. The type of man who calls from California to say, "Can you take these days off work? We're going to the beach." The type of man who plans a trip that I so want to take with him, and only him. We leave on Saturday morning. If I ever have sons I hope they learn to be like him - strong, determined, resolute, generous. I guess you could say I kind of like him, a lot.

I have been enjoying organic peanut butter, raspberry preserve, and pringle sandwiches lately. Dee- licious.

The other day I was standing in the self-checkout line at Safeway when I felt a presence behind me. I turned to see a slight, smiling woman. A nun in fact. She beamed at me, literally, looked into my eyes and said, "You have a good heart. God Bless you my child." I'm not really religious, but I'll take a grocery store blessing any day.
